Christmas Week Projects and a Fond Farewell

Hello Friends!  Today I'm sharing  a few projects featuring Creative Embellishments Embroidery Hoops Frames, Circle Bokeh Stencil, and Snowflake Frame 3 and Let It Snow Title Quotes and Sayings.

This is a bittersweet post as it is my last post for the Creative Embellishments Team.  I have been on the team for 5 years now and it has been a fabulous 5 years! I will miss everyone and I especially want to thank all of you whop have followed my projects and posts.

This is the best team I have ever worked with and Nicolle has a fabulous company to work with. The product is the best in the industry!  She has a variety of product which I am sharing with you today.

My first projects is a card set featuring Snowflake Frame 3 and Let It Snow Title Quotes and Sayings.

To alter the chipboard pieces I inked them with Versa Mark and the used Vintage Blue Opaque Sparkle Embossing Powder.  This powder reminds me of fresh fallen snow.  Here in Wyoming we haven't had much snow, in fact it's been very mild and pleasant.  Every now and them we get these types of Fall weather.  We call the Indian Summers.

To finish off these 2 cards I added some adhesive gems and some coordinating ribbon.

This next was a fun card to make.  I simply stamped it and colored it with Distress Inks and then added the Embroidery Hoops Frame

This cards was made with the Circle Bokeh Stencil and Distress inks and White Stazon Ink.

After I finished the background I Stamped the images and I used a dauber to color in the circles.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Farewell for now!

Snowy Christmas Shaker Tags

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing 2 large Tags featuring Creative Embellishments Large Deer Tag, Large Christmas Eve Tag

and also the Flourish Stencil 3.

It's so hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner and this year I'm feeling especially humbled as my family is almost

all together.  I'm so grateful to have them living within 30 minutes of me and a quick trip to see them and spend time together after

over 30 years of living many miles apart makes my heart happy!  I hope everyone has a Blessed Christmas like I will be.

These tags come in 2 pieces, a solid tag and then the window that goes over the solid tag.  They can be easily made into shakers by simply adding some acetate and foam tape.

To create these fun tags I started out painting the front window with white acrylic paint and then inking up the scenes with colored chalk inks.  After the paint dried I added some

acetate and foam tape to the back of the Window panel.  Cover the Back panel of the tag with patterned paper and add some Diamond Dust to the center.

Adhere the front panel to the back panel and shake!

The next step is to add some texture to the top front of this tag.  I did that by pushing some Opal Glitter Medium through the Flourish Stencil.

I also added some Laser Iridescent Paste to the rest of the front window panel.

To finish off these tags I added some flowers, holly and pinecones as well as a ribbon bow, all from my stash.

"New Neighbors" Card

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a new project featuring several Lavinia stamps, Distress Oxide Sprays and Glitter Gel Pens and some chalk pastels!  I'm calling this project "New Neighbors"  It is a 7"x7" panel matted on a piece of 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" and then both matted on 8"x8" black cardstock.  The panel is 110 lb white cardstock and the mats are 65 lb colored cardstock.

This card features The Tree of Hope
The Tree of Courage
Fairy Path
Hobbit Home Large
Wild Hares Set Large

To begin this project I started by building the background. I used Distress Oxides - Shabby Shutters and Tumbled Glass. I also used Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Coral, however you can substitute this color with Spiced Marmalade or Abandoned Coral.

I stamped all the Images with Versa Fine Onyx Black, this can be substituted with Versa Fine Clair, Nocturne.

To ground the trees and home I used a piece of torn paper and simply inked over the edge with Oxide inks.  I also brought out the colors with chalk pastels.  Pan Pastels can be used for this technique.  I highlighted all the stamping with Gelly Roll Glitter Pens and a White Gelly Roll Pen.

Supply List:

Lavinia Stamps

Distress Oxide Sprays
Shabby Shutters, Spiced Marmalade or Abandoned Coral and Tumbled Glass

Ink:

Distress Oxide Ink Faded Jeans

Creative Embellishments December Challenge

Wow!  I can't believe it's December...the year flew by!  I have so much to be grateful for this year...mostly family and health!  I have been blessed to have my family move back and are now close by and I get to see them all the time!  This challenge is one of my favorites!  The non traditional colors and the bling as the added twist!  This card set features the Christmas Holly Wreath.

To alter the wreath I used Raspberry Tinsel Embossing Powder and Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. I layered the chipboard pieces on patterned paper and the popped it up on gold glitter cardstock.  To finish this off I added some cream colored Poinsettias from my stash and added an embossed stamped sentiment to the center of the wreath.

Hope you join us in this fun challenge! You can visit the Creative Embellishments blog for all the details.
