Everyday is a Gift, Show Brotherly Love

Hello friends!  It's been a while, I've been enjoying some free time and also enjoying time with family.  It's so great to reconnect in person after live a long distance relationship for so long.  I'm so happy to have my sisters and their families closer to home and do things a s a family again. Grateful took on a whole new meaning.  

Besides reconnecting with my family I have been spending time purging my creative space, quilting, junk journaling, bible journaling, art journaling and getting out with my dogs.  We're getting lots of good exercise and quality time.  I'm not sure which I'm enjoying more...I think creatively the winner is bible journaling.  When I retired the 1st thing on my bucket list was reading the bible from front to back.  I have gone way beyond that now and am now reading the old testament....fascinating!!!   I've learned so much about my self and how to be better.  I'll be sharing some of my work later this week.

Show Brotherly Love Peter 3: 8-17

8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For

“He who would love life

And see good days,

Let him refrain his tongue from evil,

And his lips from speaking deceit.

Let him turn away from evil and do good;

Let him seek peace and pursue it.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

And His ears are open to their prayers;

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Suffering for Right and Wrong

13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

When I see the world today, I see so many who have succumbed to evil.  God wins!  Praying for better days for all.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I want to leave you with this song.  It's by the Byrds but it comes from a bible passage . Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

9 What do workers gain from their toil? 10 I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. 13 That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. 14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. 22 So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?
