Mixed Media Mini Album with Rebecca Baer Stencils

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a mini album I altered using Rebecca Baer's Entwined Medium stencil and lots of mixed media.

This mini album was especially fun because I used a variety of products and used one of my favorite techniques to give it a look that I love.  I love using embossing powder on modeling paste because it gives your project shimmer and makes the stenciling stand out even more than usual.

Here is a quick step by step to complete the cover of this mini.

Start off by covering the inside of  your album with gesso.

Once the gesso is dry, beginning with the inside cover start spraying to give it color.

Continue adding color using the Rebecca Baer's Entwined Medium stencil  until the whole inside cover is sprayed.

Next step is to add modeling paste using the Rebecca Baer's Entwined Medium stencil  and a palette knife.  Be sure to cover the back and side.

Once the modeling paste is dry , cover it with gesso.  Let dry.

Using the same sprays you used on the inside spray the cover until it is completely covered. let dry or use a heat gun to dry.

Once your album is dry using versa mark gently rub over the top of the modeling paste and sprinkle embossing powder over the top and heat .

Your album is ready to embellish.  I used hand made flowers and leaves for mine but you can do whatever you desire.

Hope you give this fun technique a try and be sure to stop by Rebecca's store and purchase some of her elegant stencils!  They will make any project stand out from all the others.

Thanks for stopping by the Prairie Rose Cafe  today!

Debbie
