Embossing with a Stencil

Hello friends!  Today sharing a card set using a technique that is a little different than what I normally do with a stencil.  Most of my projects that involve a stencil also include modeling paste or misting. This one includes your die cut machine and 2 Rebecca Bear Stencils, the Small Enchanted Vine Stencil and the Small Flights of Fancy Stencil.

This first card was made with the Small Enchanted Vine Stencil.

The card below was created with the Small Flights of Fancy Stencil.

To begin this technique you will need your die cutting machine, I used the Cuttlebug.  You will need a piece of white card stock.  The sandwich I used for this technique is as follows:

A Plate

A piece of chipboard

white card stock for the front of your card

Rubber embossing sheet

Stencil

Chipboard

1 piece of card stock 

C plate

**You made need to practice this a few times adjusting the sandwich for your machine.  Make sure the Card stock is between the Rubber embossing sheet and your Stencil.

This is what your white card stock should look like when you are done embossing.

The next step is to color the back side of the embossed card stock with (your color of choice) ink.
I chose to use an ombre ink pad so that I could use a couple different colors that are already coordinated. Gently rub with a dauber until you get the amount of color you want on your card.

Adhere your pieces to black card stock or your coordinating color of choice.  Adhere as many background mats as desired and then prepare your card base.

Adhere to card base.

Stamp your sentiment and adhere to the front of your card.

To finish up embellish as desired.
